Coach Kep's Philosophy
I would like to think that I bring a very unique coaching philosophy to the table. My experiences as a collegiate athlete are the foundation of my beliefs and philosophy. As a player I went from a highly recruited scholarship athlete, to a walk-on, to someone who got very little playing time, and to someone who played on a regular basis. I can relate to nearly every player on the roster. My experiences have led me to give every player a fair opportunity to succeed and treat everyone as equals, because we are.
I am teaching a game. My goal is to teach every player that I am around the most about the game of baseball that I possibly can. I want to make you the best player you can be. You will rarely, if ever, hear me scream and yell. If there are some rough moments, we will learn from them, and be better prepared for the next time that situation comes up.
Playing college baseball should be the best years of your life. I intend to make that happen through energy, passion, and positivity. I will demand a lot of time, energy, and discipline, but you will get that in return from me.
My job is to prepare you for the next step of life, whether that involves baseball or not. I intend to teach you the proper work ethic to help you succeed in any endeavor. No team will work harder or have more fun. Everything we do is for a reason, therefore it will be done with 100% commitment and energy from players and coaches.
Motivation will come through positivity. Work hard. Respect the game.
